Forum Fairer Handel e.V.

A network of Fair Trade organizations and actors in Germany

After years of informal cooperation, Fair Trade organizations and players in Germany got more and more aware of the necessity to have a joint platform in order to achieve as much public attention for Fair Trade as possible and thus to optimize its impact.

On 18th November 2002, fifteen Fair Trade actors founded the Forum Fairer Handel (Fair Trade forum) in Cologne.

It is the forum’s goal to further coordinate Fair Trade activities in Germany in order to

  • make their claims heard and considered on a political and commercial level, and
  • facilitate a stronger expansion of Fair Trade in Germany.
